Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 650 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that trains personnel in Swedish nuclear power, delivers nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and implements projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, corporate staff, and stakeholders. This involves activities such as the development and provision of training, project management and project support, analysis management and investigation, product development, nuclear safety, and dam safety assignments. The focus within the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capability in project management and selected technical key disciplines. We actively work with continuous improvement initiatives and the development of our models, where our work and expertise create significant value for Vattenfall and its investments.

As an engineer with us, you will work on a variety of issues with varying complexity. We are in an exciting time where we are preparing for new nuclear power while also upgrading our existing facilities to operate for many years to come. Furthermore, we are strengthening our ability to work with renewal and exchanges within hydropower. The work is carried out in project form, often together in construction teams with other specialists, where you are involved from the idea stage to the finished solution. You will work on everything from feasibility studies, analyses, and investigations to design and implementation, giving you a broad and developing role.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree as a college engineer, civil engineer, or similar in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.
• Several years of experience with I&C systems within the process or power industry.
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English.
• Driver's license B.

You are a person who is driven to find smart solutions in complex systems and has the ability to see the big picture and connections to related areas. You thrive in working independently but also in a leading role where you guide the technical work. In situations characterized by difficulties or uncertainties, you can carry out structured and qualitative work thanks to your analytical ability and attention to detail. Your good collaboration skills and responsiveness enable you to easily create and maintain relationships and manage many contacts.

Location is Solna, Gothenburg, Uppsala, Västerås, Gävle, Nyköping, or Oskarshamn. Travel is a natural part of the job, but we actively work with technical aids to reduce this.
